Optimal Scheduling of Non-Convex Cogeneration Units Using Exponentially Varying Whale Optimization Algorithm

This paper proposes an Exponentially Varying Whale Optimization Algorithm (EVWOA) to solve the single-objective non-convex Cogeneration Units problem. problem seeks evaluate optimal output of generator unit minimize a CHP system’s fuel costs. The nonlinear and characteristics objective function demands powerful optimization technique. traditional (WOA) is improved by incorporating four different acceleration functions fine-tune its performance during exploration exploitation phases. Among variants proposed WOA, emphasis laid on EVWOA which uses exponentially varying (EVAF). tested six small-scale large-scale systems. results obtained for these test systems, followed statistical study highlight supremacy finding best solution convergence traits.
